$W3r discounts & why inclusion matters

*READ ON below the form for more information.

Pole fitness would not exist without str*ppers and s3x workers.

If you would like to support s3x workers by offering $W3r discounts, hiring str*ppers, hosting educational trainings, creating more ethical policies and producing more ethical events, PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME. You can do so via email or the form below.

Why Including $W3rs Matters in Pole Fitness

There is more interest from the general public in pole fitness, pole dancing and str*p club-adjacent events than ever before. However, str*ppers and s3x workers — who are responsible for creating this art form — still can’t enjoy basic rights or protections. They are still discriminated against at their places of work and systemically oppressed both inside and outside of the club (if they even have a venue to work out of; many $W3rs are street-based, particularly BIPOC and trans individuals).

Being a str*pper means giving up your right to fair employment practices. We do not make an hourly wage, we have to PAY our clubs to work. We do not always have trustworthy security or management. We do not get workers compensation if we’re injured on the job. We don’t get health insurance, we don’t get paid time off, we don’t get a break. We do not get to take off our stilettos.

People are becoming more and more socially aware and making efforts to decolonize their minds, businesses and lives. Those with more privilege (i.e., folx who pole dance as a hobby or open businesses that profit from pole dancing while never having had to partake in survival s3x work) have a responsibility to make space for str*ppers and s3x workers and advocate for decriminalization.

Partnering with The Muse Mint to offer s3x worker discounts and make offerings more accessible to the folx who need it most can be a great first step.

The Muse Mint is owned and run by a current full-time str*pper who started their journey as a pole fit hobbyist. I’ve personally experienced both sides and have a unique understanding of where tension is born between str*ppers and pole hobbyists. I also have the experience and insight to help problem-solve and create more positive environments moving forward.
